Dr. Poon is a native of Houston, Texas though he spent most of his childhood growing up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.   He has called Pittsburgh his home for over 10 years now and like his kids are avid Penguins and Steelers fans.  Dr. Poon received his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at The Johns Hopkins University and his Doctor of Medicine from The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.  He completed his residency and internship training at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill where he met his wife Sarah.  Dr. Poon completed a year of fellowship training in Total Hip and Knee Arthroplasty at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago before joining the practice.  Dr. Poon enjoys golfing and spending time his wife and four children.
