Ryan McMillen, D.P.M. is a native of Pittsburgh, PA having grown up in the North Hills. He met his wife, Anya, while they were undergraduates at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. McMillen graduated with his degree in podiatric medicine from Temple University where he served as president of the student body. He completed his surgical residency at UPMC in 2010. During his residency, Dr. McMillen was published in the most prestigious orthopedic journal, The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and won a “Top 10 Paper” award at the Orthopaedic Trauma Association annual meeting. He is also an author of numerous research papers, invited articles and book chapters on foot and ankle surgery. Dr. McMillen completed his orthopaedic foot and ankle fellowship at the Comprehensive Foot and Ankle Center at UPMC in 2011. He currently lives in the south hills of Pittsburgh and he serves on the board of Hiawatha Project, an original performance arts company. He and his wife are expecting their first child.
